PC based access control

SIS Live (Satellite Information Services) have developed and built a number of innovative satellite uplinking products. They work closely with Sky News, ITN and BBC services and also provide video connectivity through their fibre cabinet networks located at various major premier stadiums and venues around the country.

The problem – To allow SIS Live customers easy access to the cabinets without time being wasted trying to locate the key for their fibre cabinet lock, they approached Timpson Locksmiths to provide them with a solution.

The solution – Timpson Locksmiths provided and installed a PC based access control system installed at their Media base in Salford and linked via their external IP network infrastructure we installed an access controller within each cabinet to operate the cabinet doors by a unique Pin number. The system also allows remote operating of the doors from the main PC at Salford.
